Here at Zion House, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all. Our decision making process is informed by comprehensive empirical studies and high quality data evaluation. We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.

PURPOSE
Making A Difference
St. James Zion House is the department within the church, the non-profit organization, that implements grant funded programs. Zion House began operations in 2001. Initiatives provided address health, education, housing and employment. Rapid Re-housing and Homeless Prevention services have been provided on the Eastern Shore of Maryland since 2009. St. James Zion House has been the Supportive Services to Veterans Families (SSVF) provider since 2013. In this capacity homeless prevention and rapid re-housing services have been provided to over 600 Veterans and their family members. Services under the Homeless Veteran Reintegration Program (HVRP) for employment assistance has been in operation since 2017. Over 100 hundred Veterans have been assisted with employment placement and support services.
St. James Zion House SSVF and HVRP programs were accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Services International on January 14, 2019 for a three-year period.

St. James AME Zion Church - Zion House provides outreach, services and programs to address the unmet needs of citizens on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.
